Mark has over 15 years experience in the creative, marketing, advertising and business environment.
In January 1990 Mark founded the Advertising Agency Curio, a London based agency. As Managing Director Mark was responsible for overall agency performance and all new business development. He also headed up specialist teams that delivered award winning integrated communication solutions to many well-known corporate brands. Brands like; BBC World Wide & BBC World Service, London Zoo Classic FM, Sky, Twentieth Century Fox, Playboy, National Maritime Museum, National Geographic Channel, Eurosport and Oxbow.
With his expert knowledge and understanding of brands and marketing Mark is able to communicate confidently and clearly at the highest level and effectively instil trust in clients. This combined with his determination and drive he successfully increased Curios revenues from 1.8m in 1997 to 3.5m in 2000, which enabled Curio to break into the top 50 advertising agencies in the UK with billings in excess of 20m.
Amongst other ventures Mark successfully launched the BIBC Plc, one of the first internet broadcasting companies where he was responsible for securing
750, 000 of private equity funding. He developed a number of key client accounts and partners like BBC, Pearson and The Open University and was also responsible for securing the appointment from BT Wholesale as their sole broadband service provider working across their 400 business customers. Mark is now a non-executive director.
In 1996 Mark co founded the property development company Highgrove Homes. Highgrove Homes is a residential property developer operating in the South West which for the last eight years has built an excellent reputation for creating affordable homes that combine the very best in architectural design with the highest standards of craftsmanship. Throughout this time Mark has been solely responsible for all brand communication, advertising and marketing for Highgrove Homes. He has also been jointly responsible for all land acquisitions, and business development which has enabled the company to consistently increased the number of units completed year on year.
